Currency - There are two banks with cash machines in Periana. Be aware that many places accept cash only

Language - Bring a phrase book! Most locals in the village speak Spanish only so it would be a good idea to learn a few useful words & phrases. The locals are extremely welcoming

Weather - Expect temperatures in the 30's during the summer months, with August being the hottest month when temperatures can reach the high 30's. Sun hats, sunscreen and water are essential when out and about. Spring and Autumn months provide lower temperatures making it an ideal time for walking and activity holidays. The flowers and lush landscape offer even more spectacular scenic views. Winter is variable. Bring layers as it can get chilly in the evenings although the days can be warm and sunny
